Purpose: Love the Way You Are

I created this visual argument to explain and argue to people the point about loving your body.  I do this by arranging pictures and text to music playing in the background.  I start off with pictures of people smiling and showing off their beauty.  I start off with these images to show my audience that everyone is different, which lead up to loving your body.  These images show the audience how everyone is different and unique because it shows a variety of different ethnics and cultures.  The next group of pictures I show is of eating disorders and having low esteem about yourself.  The impact of these images is to show the audience the horrors of eating disorders and what it does to our bodies.  These images are pathos because it sparks the emotions of horror within the audience, which makes sure the audience will never have an eating disorder.  The next group of images I have are of makeup and people with too much makeup on.  With these images I'm trying to portray people who put on makeup for show look stupid and not pretty with makeup on.  I'm trying to show how makeup doesn't necessarily improve our looks and can be quite silly to put on.  After that, the images are of pills and muscle gain.  These images spark the pathos of the audience because it shows the audience how immoral pills are, how dangerous they are, and what they do to our body.  It shows a ton of muscle gain which looks silly on the boy.  The text that I use throughout my visual argument are facts which are used to spark the pathos of people.  It is supposed to show people the immoral ways our brain thinks and how we should love our body.  The music in the background that is playing is Just the Way You Are by Bruno Mars.  This music is putting my point across again and it is saying that we should love the way we are and we shouldn't change the way we are for anything.  I use black and white colors for the text in order to make the white text stand out against the background.  Also I use green text at the end of my video to make my point stand out even more, because it is different from the rest of my text slides causing the audience's eyes to be drawn to the words and letting them remember my point even more.
